Can I come watch the games?

Yes! Spectator admission is free for all games however fans are encouraged to donate or enter the 50/50 raffle.

Info on which NHL Alumni and Vancouver Canucks Alumni are playing on which team will be visible on the Draft Board in the main entrance.

Can I come to the Pro-Am Alumni Draft?

Yes, the draft will be open to the public with the purchase of a ticket. All proceeds will be donated to charity.

How much does it cost to participate?

The registration fee ranges from $175.00 to $300.00 per player. The range is based on if you played last year, if you played for the Ravens in minor hockey, or if you are a non-alumni participant.

There is also an EARLY BIRD rate available this year if you register prior to November 30, 2025.

This covers the cost of your participation in:

Entrance into draft night

All events associated with the weekend, including ice times, personalized jerseys, sock tape, hockey tape and hydrating drinks

Post-game food and beers

Registration covers the hard costs associated with the event such as ice and officials.

Because the registration cost represents tangible value received, CRA regulations do not allow us to issue a tax receipt for the fee.

How many players can be on one team?

We have a limit of 20 individuals permitted on a team roster.

This includes your goalie, skaters and any non-playing team members (ie coaches and managers).

Teams have until November 15, 2025 to have a minimum of 10 individuals confirmed on their team (non-playing members included).

If this deadline is not met, we will reach out with options to add individual waitlisted players or combine rosters with a waitlisted team.

Who can register to participate in the event?

We are accepting new registrations and have limited spots still available.

Registration is open for non-alumni participants.

Is there a minimum age for participation?

Players and non-playing team members must be at least 21 years of age.

Do you have to be a Semiahmoo Minor Hockey alumni player?

No, we welcome anyone from our community who would like to participate.

Do you have to have played minor hockey at some point?

No, we welcome anyone from our community who would like to participate.

How much is each team expected to fundraise?

Teams must raise a minimum of $20,000.

This event is a charity tournament in support of KidSport, Canucks Autism Network (CAN), Semiahmoo Minor Hockey, and the Peninsula Community Foundation. Funds raised from the event support CAN’s programming, training and community engagement in South Surrey / White Rock and beyond.

How much is each player expected to fundraise?

Players must raise a minimum of $750. Each player is expected to raise a minimum of $750.00 for the event. This total includes their registration fee. For example, a returning player who registers early, pays $175.00 for registration and then is asked to raise $575.00 for a total of $750.00.

What happens if my team or I do not raise the minimum amount?

You feel shame.

Just kidding. Your team will still play in the tournament. However, your team will not be able to attend Draft Night, and will not have any alumni on your team at the tournament.

What is the fundraising deadline?

The fundraising deadline in March 6, 2026 at 12pm (PST).

This gives us enough time to finalize the standings and set the draft order for Draft Night.

Obviously we take in donations thru the event, but only those donations received prior to March 6 at 12pm (PST) will be counted towards the final standings.

How many games does each team play?

Teams will play two games each over the course of the event.

Each team will draft one NHL Alumni onto their roster for the weekend. Teams will draft NHL Alumni in the order of their final fundraising rankings.

What is the level of play (i.e. skill level) in the tournament?

This event is intended to be a fun way of raising revenue for some great charities in our community. Participants of any skill level are welcome to sign up.
